Today Rometti works with famous designers such as Monica Pioggia, and the well-known designer Ambrogio Pozzi. Collaboration with British artist Liliane Lijn has led to the production of vases and sculptures inspired by the dynamism of kinetic art. Among the major international brands that have commissioned products from the manufacturer are Rosenthal for the “service” on board Alitalia aircraft, and Guzzini for the “Pomona” series, as well as Armani, Pierre Cardin, BMW and Cooper.
The important role that Rometti plays in the cultural landscape of Umbria has prompted the City of Umbertide, in January 2011, to fund the factory’s local museum with the purchase of 160 historical items, to give the general public an opportunity to appreciate this fundamental heritage in Italian ceramic art. Jean-Christophe Clair became Artistic Director of the Manufacture Rometti in 2010,
in close collaboration with Massimo Monini, Clair designs the collections, creates new models, studies the ancient techniques of work, composes the colour palettes as they were pages of music.
